18 months.

Lainey got her very own chair. Here she is with her two "nigh-nighs" just after getting up. Has her very own name on it.

A quick family photo at her first KU football tailgate.

A quick preview of her Halloween costume. It was too cute not to share. She was twirling around and pulling at her wings. She was quite proud.

She won't sit in her high chair anymore. Has to be a big girl and sit at the table. We have a pub table so if she were to fall off the chair it would be a longer fall, but she doesn't seem to mind.

If you look close here, you can see she has pigtails. I don't know why, but she would NOT let me see her face when I was trying to take her picture in her cute little pigtails. Maybe she was embarrassed?!

18 months!

So Lainey will be 18 months officially on the 10th of this month. That doesn't seem possible. Here is an update.
Last I checked she was 26 pounds and not sure how long, but I can update after her dr.'s appt next week.
She is talking a lot more now and is starting to say short sentences (I do, please mommy and NO!).
Walking is going great and now she wants to run everywhere.
She LOVES her blankets, which she calls "Nigh-Nigh's." And no, they are not night-nights :) She has two of them and brings them almost everywhere we go.
Still tyring to break the paci. We're attempting to cut her off cold turkey this weekend. That should be fun. I talked to her today about how she's a big girl now and pacis are for babies. We were driving later and she took out her paci, looked at it and said, "Babies" then stuck it back in her mouth. I told her she better enjoy one of her last car rides with her paci ;)

Quick family photo. These are hard to come by these days so this is the best we got out of about 5 pictures. She's too squirmy. If you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see us better.

Aunt Kelv, Daddy and my new cousin Kinly at her baptism.

Kinly in her baptism outfit.

Sitting on some hay bails. I really wanted a posed picture, again this is the best I could get.

Parkville Days.

We had to go on the carosel three times and that still wasn't enough. Each time the ride stopped she'd look up at you and say, "more, more, more, more!" We finally stopped after the third time just in case her stomach couldn't handle it! The pictures look better if you double click on them to enlarge.

While we were there, a train came roaring thru town. She'd never seen or heard one before so she was obsessed with it. Had to watch the entire train from engine to caboose. Of course after it passed thru we heard, "more, more, more!"

Parkville Days.

Parkville has a festival every year called Parkville Days that is like a mini fair. They have all sorts of vendors come in with booths, carnival rides and funnel cakes. There was this moon bounce thing there Lainey wanted to play in. It was prety funny watching her run all over. She doesn't quite know what to think at first, then she's all over the place.

Here she is just trying to figure this thing out.

Again, now what?

This picture cracks me up. It totally looks like she took out this kid with the plastic pole behind her. She didn't, although it looks pretty incriminating. After we left we later found out this moon bounce thing was really a gladiator deal where two contenders get up on the "box" and try to knock the other one off with their poles!!

Here she is making friends with another little girl. See, she's not a gladiator :)

Her and daddy walking by the riverwalk.

Lake

Went to the lake a few weeks ago for a family reunion. Lainey was obsessed with the water.

Meema and Lainey checking out the scenery.

She loved this swing.

She looks like such a big girl!

Mommy and Lainey.

Daddy and Lainey at the boat dock.

Summer Stuff

Here's some pics from Lainey's pool. She didn't really care to get in she just wanted to splash around. When Ryan would turn off the hose she'd go over and try to turn it back on. And yes, her swimming suit straps are not on correctly, I couldn't figure out how to put them on right...whoopsies :) She didn't care though.

Lainey helping turn on the water.

Her crooked straps.

She did not want in, just wanted to splash around.

Still just checking it out.

Still doesn't want in.

4th of July and the Pool

Here I am in my bikini. This watermelon thing was an unused pedicure deal, but I used it as my very own pool built for people just my size. I sat in it without water inside, but then mommy thought it would be better to go outside and put water in it. I didn't want any water. I just wanted to sit in it empty. My ducks played in the water. I sat in the grass. Whatever.

Here's the bikini again. I went to the big people pool this time at Meema and Pappo's house. I loved it!

Here I am playing very nicely with a friend I met there at the pool. She shared her toys with me. That was nice of her :)

I went under water here. I'm not quite sure why I can't breathe in water. It took me a minute to realize I didn't want to do that again! Maybe when I'm bigger?!

Over the 4t of July the Peschka side had a family reunion at Aunt Karen's. Here are some pics from the afternoon.

Cousin Reagan and I enjoying a snack together.

One of our favorite pics from the weekend. Grandma P was helping celebrate Brad's birthday :)

Ashonna, Cady and Reagan swimming.

Mom & Dad practicing their sweet badmitton skills. Oh yeah, they went undeated.

Grandpa & cousin Darrin playing against the champs. They didn't stand a chance.

Preggo Aunt Kelv enjoying the July heat with an ice pop. Blow up the pic, it looks even better close up.

Uncle Al playing horseshoes. He pretty much ran the tables all day at this game.

Little Reagan taking a rest from the afternoon's activities.
