4th of July and the Pool

Here I am in my bikini. This watermelon thing was an unused pedicure deal, but I used it as my very own pool built for people just my size. I sat in it without water inside, but then mommy thought it would be better to go outside and put water in it. I didn't want any water. I just wanted to sit in it empty. My ducks played in the water. I sat in the grass. Whatever.

Here's the bikini again. I went to the big people pool this time at Meema and Pappo's house. I loved it!

Here I am playing very nicely with a friend I met there at the pool. She shared her toys with me. That was nice of her :)

I went under water here. I'm not quite sure why I can't breathe in water. It took me a minute to realize I didn't want to do that again! Maybe when I'm bigger?!

Over the 4t of July the Peschka side had a family reunion at Aunt Karen's. Here are some pics from the afternoon.

Cousin Reagan and I enjoying a snack together.

One of our favorite pics from the weekend. Grandma P was helping celebrate Brad's birthday :)

Ashonna, Cady and Reagan swimming.

Mom & Dad practicing their sweet badmitton skills. Oh yeah, they went undeated.

Grandpa & cousin Darrin playing against the champs. They didn't stand a chance.

Preggo Aunt Kelv enjoying the July heat with an ice pop. Blow up the pic, it looks even better close up.

Uncle Al playing horseshoes. He pretty much ran the tables all day at this game.

Little Reagan taking a rest from the afternoon's activities.

Summer Begins

Ok, mom is taking over on this post...Lainey needs a break :) The summer is starting to fly by just like it seems to do every year. It's hard to believe it's almost July! Lainey's favorite new toy is her golf club set. She carts around her bag like a caddy and really tries her hardest to putt, but still holds her putter like a paintbrush. Dad is working with her on that ;) We went to Zona Rosa a few weeks ago with Pappo. It was pretty hot and they have a splash park there, so I let her dive right in. She was fearless next to the big kids and didn't really care if they got in her way, she butted her way back to the water! She also played in Grandpa's sprinkler and couldn't get enough of it. The swing pics don't really show how much fun she had at the park, but when we took her out of the swing, she pitched a royal fit! As soon as we put her back in the swing, she was happy as a bug in a rug. Her first words are Mamma, Dadda, Diddy (for our cat) and Bubbles. Not sure why bubbles, but everything seems to be "Bubbles" lately! One other story, then I'll get on with the pictures. Lainey is LOVING blueberries and cannot seem to ever get enough. Last weekend she probably ate about 2 1/2 cups of blueberries for lunch, no joke. About an hour later Ryan came down and said, "Um Amber? I just changed the weirdest colored diaper EVER. Look at this!!" I kid you not, she had eaten so many dad gum blueberries her poop was BRIGHT BLUE!!! I couldn't stop laughing! Anyway, here are some recent pictures, enjoy!

Here she's playing keep away with Daddy's phone. She was running from him when I snapped this picture.

Mommy and Lainey getting ready to run out on the town. We're cool with our sunglasses.

I put her in this bag and swung her around. That was a mistake. She never wanted to get out!!! Such a workout. Then I had to carry her around on my shoulder while she was in the bag. It was a hoot.

Do I have to get out?!

Here's the infamous swing.

A quick family photo. Didn't really work out that great, but we tried.

This is at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She never ran thru the sprinkler, but when the water hit her it was so cold, hence the faces.

This is splash park. I know it's far away, Pappo was taking the pictures :)

This is the golf bag she loves carrying around. She takes out all the clubs, balls and flags and just totes the bag. Cute humorous.

This is Lainey's first trip to the golf course. She was LOVING riding in the cart and not having to be in a seat.

Random Photos

Did I do something?

This is my own drawer I can play with in the kitchen without getting into trouble. It's full of plastic grocery bags and I love taking them out and stringing them all over the house.

It looks like I'm getting arrested here. Up against the wall and spread 'em.

I love playing with kitchen pots and stuff.

Can I go to bed already?!

New Baby Cousin

So Uncle Karlton and Aunt Kelvi are giving me a new cousin to play with and I can't wait! They found out yesterday that the baby is a girl! It will be so much fun to share toys, borrow clothes and get into mischief when we're older :) Here's the proud parents to be and me!

Greensburg Graduation

We went to Greensburg to watch my cousin Brooke graduate. That was a really long drive, but I did pretty good in the car for the most part. Mom and dad expect me to be on my best behavior all the time, but I was feeling a little cooped up after a 9 hours in a car...so I was a little anxious to get home and stretch out my legs. Brooke, the graduate is on the left. Her sister Megan is on the right. Glad we made the trip as it was good to see them!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day we went to Deanna Rose which is a garden/petting zoo in Overland Park. It was lots of fun for mom, dad & I. I saw eagles, bobcats, pigs, goats, bunnies and lots of other animals. I even got to feed the goats! That felt a little weird on my hand and I wasn't sure about it at first, but they liked the food I fed them :) Here are some pictures from the day.

Mom and I on her special day.

Here I am feeding the goats.

I was obsessed with this little girl. I wanted to play with her, but mom and dad told me she wasn't real, she was a statue. Weird.

Loved the bunnies.

Here I am in my new stroller and visiting the ram....that's a daddy sheep :)

Here are the turkeys.
